F’al Sheep.—An entry ol 4700, with a large number from South Canterbury, Otago and Southland. Late rates were maintained, except for lighl ewes, whieli were firmer. Values were: Extra prime heavy wethers to 22s 4d, prime heavy 15s 6d to 17s 6d, medium weight prime J3s to 15s, ordinary 10s 6d to 12s Gd, light 8s lo 10s, extra prime heavy ewes to 14s i)od, prime heavy 10s Gd to 13s Gd, medium weight prime 8s to 10s, ordinary 6s to 7s Gd, light 4s to r ’s hd. Fat Cattle.—An entry of 430 head, including 50 head from the North Island. also lines from (he West Coast and Southland, it was a disappointing sale. Best beef made up to °2s per 100 lbs, good from 17s 6d lo*los Gd. ordinary from 13s Lo 17s. inferior down to Bs.
