FATAL FIRE
MOTHER AND TWO CHILDREN PERISH (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE, 16th June. Fire destroyed the home of Mr Irwin Brownfield, at Heatherton. Mrs Gladys Brownfield, aged 35 years, her son aged nine, and daughter aged 3, were burned to death. The husband was away milking when ho saw the house in flames. He belives that bis wife was lighting the fire when an explosion of kerosene occurred, and that she lost her own life in valiantly attempting to rescue the children.
