SQUIRES GOVERNMENT NEWFOUNDLAND ELECTIONS (Unitod Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 15ih June, 8.30 a.m.) ST JOHNS, 14th June. Overnight returns turned the defeat of Sir Richard Squires into an almost complete rout. By Tuesday the Opposition had elected at least twenty, while the Government had elected only one. One Independent lias been elected and five seats are not yet accounted for. Lady Helena Squires, the wife of the Premier, was defeated in Twilliiigate.

Later returns reveal that the Opposi lion has 21 seats, Govcrnment2 and Independent 1. Three seats are not re ported.
