MR MACDONALD’S EYES

MUCH ANXIETY CAUSED SECOND OPERATION POSSIBLE 9 LONDON, 19th April. Much anxiety is felt in political circles regarding the eyesight of tho Prime Minister, Mr MacDonald. .“The Sun” says it understands that Mr MacDonald anticipates undergoing an operation on his right eye in a few months. Mr MacDonald is still suffering from glaucoma which necessitated the operation to his left eye on 4th February and which is likely to have increasing effects on both eyes in the event of worry and overstrain. To these the Prime Minister has been especially subject owing to his insistence on overworking himself. Glaucoma is a diseased condition of the eyes, causing hardening of the eyeball and far-sightedness. Very often' it leads to blindness.
