Major Sliand, a member of the New South Wales Assembly, who returned from a visit to New Zealand, is impressed with New Zealanders’ loyalty and determination to overcome the financial drift. He is convinced that New Zealand will recover from the depression before Australia and pays a tribute to the Dominion’s method of dealing with unemployment. He said there was no dole there, as here. Reople must work for whatever money is expended on unemployment. Everywhere lie went New Zealand people were amazed at the tolerance displayed towards Langism in New South Wales.
