CHURCH PARADE

N.M. AND W.C. REGIMENT OFFICERS The evensong service at the Cathedral yesterday was attended by Lieut.-Col. \V. C. Harley, Officer Commanding, and 30 officers of the Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast Regiment. . The parade in full uniform dress assembled at the Church Steps prior to the service and entered the Cathedral in order of junior to senior officers. The first Sunday in October was chosen for the parade, which will become an annual function, as the date is central to a number of operations of the Regiment in the Great War.

Tlie Very Rev. the Dean of Nelson (Rev. F. Askew) preached an appropriate sermon on Patriotism in Christianity.
