PAHIATUA SEAT

PALMERSTON N., 4th August
Yesterday the chairman of the Dannevirke Reform Committee (Mr H. A. Ellingham) was informed by Mr Marcus D. Smith, Mayor of Dannevirke, that he would accept nomination as the official Reform candidate for the Pahiatua seat, provided his candidature was acceptable to the party. Mr M. D. Smith, who is a son of the late Hon. W. E Smith, is a returned soldier and is actively associated with the various sports bodies in and around Dannevirke.
