SECRET NEGOTIATIONS FRANCE AND BRITAIN (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON. 18th June. < The ‘‘Morning Post’s” diplomatic correspondent understands that follow-, ing an original suggestion from France secret negotiations have recently been progressing between France and Great Britain with a view to the latter’s cession of rights in the New Hebrides, but I there is no intention of acceding, as Australian interests must be considered.
