BUDGET PASSED IN HOUSE

OTTAWA, 18th June.
The Budget passed the House of Commons by a majority of thirty votes (102 to 72), after the United Farmer sub-amendment advocating the suspension of redemption of the dominions notes in gold was defeated by 165 to 15, and the Liberal amendment, which called for a policy to overcome the economic depression, was defeated by 109 to 70.
