DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB HUDSON AND WILLS CUPS (From our own correspondent) On Saturday when the iinal shoot for (lie Hudson and E. J. Wills cups was fired some very fine scores were put up. the light being good. Rifleman R. Miller, who has shot very consistently throughout the year won both cups (senior and junior). In the Hudson Cup contest R. Miller won by 3 points; but in the junior contest Rifleman Manifold, who has also been shooting well, tied with Miller. A deciding 5 shots and 2 siglitors were fired at 600 yards, when another tie resulted. It was then decided that shot for shot be fired. Manifold firing first registered a 4, Miller following registered a 5. making him the winner of the E. J. Wills Cup ’ The scores were :

Saturday the final shoot for tie championship will V- fired over 300, 500 and 600 yards. 10 shdts. On 3rd June a match against Takaka will be fired at Motueka, 3 men aside. A team will also travel to Tapawera to compete in the shoot for the Irvine Shield. The secretary would he pleased to receive names of all men available for that day.
