DEATH OF GEORGE F. BAKER FORTUNE ESTIMATED AT 500,000,000 DOLLARS (United Press Association— By Eleotrio Telegraph—Oopyricht) NEW YORK, 2nd May. Mr George F. Baker died from pneumonia, aged 91 years. He was dean of American bankers and the third richest man in America, but one of the least known of Wall Street figures. His. fortune is estimated at as high as 500,000000 dollars. He had attended a directors’ meeting of one of the 29 large corporations on the whole of the boards ot which he had served, on Thursday, when he became ill. One of the anecdotes told about him is that be made bis son a millionaire by giving him the twenty dollar gold pieces be recieved as a fee at each ol the directors’ meetings he attended.
