Wide the Queen listened through an extra receiver the King chatted for ten minutes to (ho Prince of Wales and' Prince George at Santiago. He afterwards told tiie Post Office that the conversation was most successful. Ho was delightfully surprised at the clarity and the facility of transmission. The King’s voice was carried from the palace to "Rugby, whence it, was wirelessed to Buenos Aires, and thence by land line to Santiago. The conditions were perfect and every word was heard clearly, from the Prince of Wales’ cheery greeting “Hullo there, hullo.
PRINCES AT CHURCH SANTIAGO (Chile), 22nd February. The British Princes attended service in the British war memorial church and heard the rector preach on Britain’s big mission in spreading peace and goodwill throughout the world. The Chilean press printed heavy special editions in honour of the Princes. (Received 24th February, 11.10 a.m.) SANTIAGO. 23rd February. The Prince of Wales and Prince George called at the presidential palace on Monday, returning the visit of President Ibanez. Later they visited the Santiago branch of a big London department store, taking a keen interest in the details of its Chilean business.
