NEW ZEALAND-AUSTRALIA FLIGHT
CHICHESTER DENIES REPORT (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND. This Day. Reports have been received from the south stating that Mr J. C. Chichester was in Auckland awaiting suitable weather to hop off for Australia, his intention being to fit his machine with floats and carry a collapsible rubber boat. Chichester flew to Auckland nine days ago and he is now at llobsonville air base attending to his Moth ’plane. Interviewed, Chichester said he had no definite plans, and after being repeatedly pressed as to a proposed flight across the Tasman be said lie would deny that he had any intention of flying to Australia.
