(By Telegraph—Press Association) GISBORNE,-This Day. Taranaki Oil report is as follows: ‘Waitangi No. 1 well, progress delayed by caving about 1040 feet, accompanied by considerable amount of gas. Pumped mud into formation, after which ran 240 bags cement through tubing to 1020 feet. Gas not shut off. Resume operations on 2nd March.”
