WAITAKI IN HIGH FLOOD
DAMAGE TO lIVDIIO WORKS
(By Telegraph—Press Association) OAMARU. This Day. The Eugincer-iti-Charge of tlie Wailaki hydro works reports that the highest Hood for several years destroyed temporary trestle bridge connecting the coffer dam with the Otago bank. The damage is estimated at £4OO. Permanent works are unaffected. It is expected that it will take six weeks before the bridges are restored. The river flow is estimated /it half a million gallons per second.
