TAUPATA SAILS

DISPUTE DEFINITELY SETTLED

(By Telegraph—Special to "The Mail")

AUCKLAND, 9th December. With the same crew that was signed on last week the new auxiliary schooner Taupata sailed this afternoon for Norfolk Island. The trouble with the crew arose on Friday and it was announced that the trip had been cancelled, but yesterday it was stated that the vessel would probably get away. The Secretary of the Seamen's Union, Mr T. C. Anderson, said this morning that the dispute had been definitely settled, and that the vessel would carry a wiper as requested by his union.

Mr G. Nicol said that he had no comment to make concerning the settlement.

The Taupata will return to Auckland from the Island and will then be handed over to her new owners, the Anchor Shipping Company of Nelson.
