AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON

WELLINGTON, oth December.

After a non-stop flight from Auckland, a Fairey I IFF aeroplane belonging to the ilobsonville Aerodrome, arrived over Wellington at 12.23 p.m. today, ami after circling over the city continued its journey to Blenheim, en route to C'liristcliiircli.

The areoplane, which was piloted by Squadron-Leader L. M. Isitt. made a record trip from Auckland, the journey taking only 3.J hours. Squadron-Leader ■lsitt was accompanied on the trip by Mr (iihlis, of Cliristcinircli, who acted a* wireless operator. Throughout the flight Wing-Commander (Irant-Dalton (Director of Air Services) was in constant touch with the aeroplane by means of wireless messages sent out bv Mr Gibbs.
