BAN ON SMOKING
IN LONDON THEATRES (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, Ist December. London managers are indignantly opposing the ban on smoking in theatres. They' declare that they have already been inundated' with letters from patrons urging a vigorous protest. The theatre is already suffering opposition from talking cinemas where smoking is permitted and the ban would do incalculable harm, "because everybody smokes nowadays."
