RACING CAR SOMERSAULTS
MOTOR MECHANIC SERIOUSLY INJURED ( (By Tdegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. A motor mechanic named William Simmons (21), of Onehunga, was seriously injured and a companion had a narrow escape from injury when a racing car travelling at 80 miles an hour capsized' on • Henning's Speedway at Mangere. The injured man was taken to hospital, where he underwent an operation. His condition is reported as very serious. The car somersaulted twice. INJURIES PROVE FATAL AUCKLAND, This Day. Wjlliam Simmonds, aged 21 years, motor mechanic, died at 1.30 o'clock today from injuries received when his racing car somersaulted and capsized while driven at 80 miles an hour last night at Henning's Speedway, jMangere.
