VACANT SEAT (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. At a meeting of the executive of tho Counties Association, Mr W. W. Morrison, of Maxwell, Wanganui, was recommended to the Minister of Public Works (tho Hon. W. B. Taverner) as successor to Mr A. E. Jull, M.P., who resigned from the Main Highways Board prior to his nomination for the, Waipawa by-election. Regret was expressed that Mr Jull had had to resign, as he had done sound work on the Main Highways Board and was a valuable connecting link between the board and various county councils.
