FORTUNE AGAINST AUSTRALIANS

COMMENT BY WARNER ROBINS'S HAPPY DEBUT LONDON, 16th June. Mr P. F. Warner, writing in the 'Morning Post" says that so far fortune has been against the Australians. They had to bowl with a slippery ball, and bat on a pitch affected by rain. It was certainly Robins's day. Seldom had anyone made so happy a debut as an all rounder in a test.. He would like also to pay a tribute to the clover way Grimmett altered his pace in accordance with the different: style of batsmen, and no praise was too much for Kippax's graceful innings. His lato cuts and strokes off the leg side wore beautifully made. He must emphasise however, that Australia had all the worst of the luck.
