ORDER SENT ABROAD COULD HAVE BEEN MADE IN . AUSTRALIA (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 14th June, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Mr Edwards, secretary to the Chamber of Manufacturers, stated that wireless e.p? paratus which had been ordered abroad by the Postmaster-General’s Department ‘ could be niade in Australia. Local companies had not been given a chance to y quote for orders which involve an amount - of about £200,000. Australians made for New Zealand apparatus required there in competition with the rest of the world.
