DAMAGE BY FIRE
ELEVEN-ROOMED DWELLIXG DESTROYED (By Telegraph—Press Association) DANNEVIRKE, This Day. A fire at Tipapakuku at 2..‘10 o’clock this morning totally destroyed an eleven-roomed house owned and occupied by J.' Millar, also outbuildings. The occupants had a narrow escape. The fire apparently started in the pantry, where there was an electric cooker. The dwelling and outbuildings were insured in the Stale office for £1450 and the furniture for £2OO also in the State office. The personal loss, •which was not covered by insurance is heavy.
