At Chicago three notorious gangsters were slain by their fellows early to-day at a roadhousc. Machine guns, placed on a window in the dining room, poured 300 slugs at five persons seated at a table. The remaining two, one a Woman, wore gravely wounded. The dead include Sam Pelhir and Michael Quirk who had been twice acquitted of murder, and Joseph Bertsche, a safe-blower recently released from gaol. Three other men who drove the wounded to Chicago University Hospital, refused to give their names. Chief Detective Stege was not sure whether it was a war between the Moran and Capone gangs. He however, expects retaliations.
