The Public Health Department is busy, going through the hospital boards' estimates in view of the'Dominion's economic position. Every effort is being made to checiky extravagant' expenditure, but the Hon. A. J. Stallwortny, Minis? ter of Public Health, stated that there was nd suggestion to decrease the efficiency of the hospital system, nor was it proposed to throw any additional burden on local, ratepayers.
