MATCH WITH MARLBOROUGH MOOR I'M! BID CTJI> During the week-end a party of twenty-two members, of the .Nelson Coif Club, including several ladies' visited Blenheim when the Jirat match of the season for the Moore-Reid Clip, and friendly games with Marlborongli elnh members were played. The weather was excellent and the course in good condition. In the Moore-Reid Cup/competition the Marlborongli Club si/nrial a very convincing victory, winning five of the six four-balls with one halved, and eight of the singles, losing three, the other being halved. The results of the matches were as follows "(Marlborough names first: — FOURBALLS F. Reid and Masefield beat Huggins and Ho by. Jelfries and Mitchell beat Rout and Harley. Martin and F. F. Reid and Cock and Fietchcr all square. Bonnington and Moffatt beat Robison and Vercoe. Morrison and Bridge beat Elliott and Dodson. Roves and Bennett beat Mitchell and Dodds. SINGLES Martin lost to Huggins. Jelfries boat Rout. Masefield lost to Cock. E. Reid heat Elliott. Mitchell and Robison all square. Bonnington heat Vercoe. E. F. Reid heat Dodds. Moffatt heat Fletcher. Morrison beat Dodson. Boyes heat Mitchell. Bennett lost to Harley. Bridge heat I-loby. At the conclusion of the matches Mr Errol Reid, in extending a welcome to file visitors, expressed pleasure at the large number who had made the trip, and referred to the cordial relations existing between the two clubs. In handing over the Moore-Reid Cup Mr H. C. Cock, president of tiie Nelson Chili, congratulated the Marlborough team on its decisive win. On behalf of the visitors lie expressed warm appreciation of the hospitality accorded to them by the home club.
