DECLINE OF 50 PER CENT

Wool value figures for Otago reveal a decline of 50 per cent compared with the previous season. There were 76,568 bales offered as against 91.282 bales in the previous year, the total proceeds being £779,791 as against £1,843,591. The average price per pound dropped from 15.48 d. to 8.5 d.
