FAILURE TO ADVERTISE
THEATRE MANAGER FINED

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day
For failing to publish in an advertisement of the film "Flight," the recommendation of the censor that it was more suitable for adult audiences, Herbert Gladstone Hill, manager of the Civic Theatre, was fined £1 and costs.' It .was the first case of the kind heard in New Zealand. The Magistrate said that defendant had evidently committed the breach as a protest against the censor's recommendation, Hill considering that the film was suitable for children.
