STEAMER ALEXANDER
STILL AGROUND AT HvENCH PASS The Anchor Company's steamer .Alexander, which went aground at the French L'ass early yesterday morning when bound from Wellington to Nelson was still in tie.' same position to-day. The vessol has made a bed for herself on the soft papa rock which has crumpled round the hull. It is anticipated by the company that the steamer will ileal, oh' undamaged with the making tides in a day or two.
