TAXI WAR ENDS
INCREASED CHARGES IN
AUCKLAND

The taxi war waged in Auckland for many months has ended, three leading companies, operating 170 cabs, having announced an increased scale of charges to come into effect before Easter. The new fares will be Is a mile for the first two miles, 2s 6d for three miles, 3s for four and five miles, and for each additional mile after five 6d.
