Last Thursday evening Evangelist F. J. Marshall, of" Wanganui, who has accepted a call to the Spring Grove Church of Christ, was welcomed by the congregation at a social evening. Among those present to extend a welcome to the new minister and his family were Pastor F. J. Shyer, of Nelson, Pastor Price of Richmond, Brother Bell of Takaka, Mr Poole (Anglican) of Wakefield, and Rev. F. W. Marshall (Presbyterian) of Brightwater. Mr F. J. Marshall, besides being a good churchman, is a keen enthusiast in the social life and the district should benefit greatly by having Mr and Mrs Marshall and family in its midst.
