MELBOURNE, Ist April. The death of Miss Clara Chcttle, aged 50 years, a passenger on the Mahono which arrived from Bluff on Saturday, was inquired into by tho navigation authorities who returned a verdict of death due to natural causes.

Criticism had arisen owing to the Maheno carrying no doctor, although there were 213 passengers aboard. The patient became ill a day out from the Bluff. Medical advice was obtained by radio but Miss Chctltle died when the Maheno was about to berth.
