Mr G. A. Edmonds, Town Clerk, and Mrs Edmonds have returned after a lengthy motor tour of the South Island. They proceeded south via the West Coast,, and the tour included Stewart Island, Invercargill, Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, and Christchurch, the return home being made via the East Coast. The death is announced at Dunedin of Mr William Wilkinson, aged 87 years, for 21 years Government nominee on the Harbour Board ? a Justice of the Peace and a prominent Oddfellow. Press Association.
Among the visitors at St. Mary's garden fete on Saturday afternoon were Mr and Mrs A. C. Brabet. of Gippsland. Victoria. They are at present engaged upon a' tour of the Dominion. Mrs Brabet, as a child, had been confirmed by His Grace Archbishop Redwood in Christchurch, and the meeting after so many years was an interesting and pleasant experience. i
A Wanganui Press Association telegram reports the death of Mr Thomas M. Copeland, aged 73 years, a wellknown athlete and volunteer fire brigadesman in the 'eighties.
