SUPPORT DOMINION TRADE

MINISTER ON DEPRESSION (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, 27th Alarch. The seventeenth annual conference of the United Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen’s Association commenced this morning. Air F. U. Alitchell (Dunedin) presided. The Hon. W. B. Taverner, opening the conference, declared that they should not bo panicky because the times were a little trying. There was sufficient money and finance for all legitimate ventures, and a rest from speculation would do the country good. If they supported Dominion trade first' and Empire trade next it would help them through. The Minister expressed the sincere hope that the Government could assist them in the difficulty they had experienced over their big day charity appeal.
