MR COATES IN SOUTHLAND

INVERCARGILL. This Day. ’I he Right. Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, visited Riverton, Otuutau and Winton yesterday and was most enthusiastically received by a large gat lie ring of Reform supporters. In the evening 300 supporters from all parts of Southland assembled at a dinner odd in his honour. The gathering was marked by the greatest enthusiasm and his hearers were treated to an eloquent and idealistic speech by their leader.
