The feeling ju. labour circles is that Monday's conference of coal owners and miners' representatives will again be abortive, and that the miners are in a stronger position to resist a compromise than heretofore by reason of the stiff levies to be imposed upon all unionists by lite Trade Union Conference for their sustenance.
