"[ did not," answered Podmoro, who was in the witness box for four hours, of which one and a half hours were occupied by a searching cross-examination by one' of England's most skilful counsel. Sir Thomas Inskip, besides many painted questions by Lord Chief Justice Howat. The prisoner is serving sentences already. The evidence alleged incriminating talk about the Southampton murder by Podmore when in gaol for car stealing. Podmoro flatly denied the conversations with these men. The verdict is expected to-day.
