This evening's session of the Presbyterian General Assembly was devoted to a youl h deinonstral ion. .Miss Buchanan was ordained as :t deaconess, and set apart fur the work of travelling secretary of the Young Women's Bible Class Union. The Rev. K. P. Blamires, Methodist Voting People's secretary, addressed the Assembly on "Continuity in Religious Education." lie made a' strong appeal for co-operation in the work of carrying out a complete programme ( ,f religious education, and was given a very cordial reception. In connection wit h ihe so< ial service report, the Rev. John Piderson, of Wauganui. intimated that the Margaret Wall Orphan Homes would be erected shortly after the end of April. This year the approximate value of the Wall Trust would be about £BOXOO, and ii would be administered by the minister and session of Si. Paul's, Wanganui, in co-operaiitiii with the Presbyterian So tial Service Association in Wellington.
