PLANTS AS ANTISEPTICS
The antiseptic value of Verbena has been compared with carbolic acid as 9.2 to 1.0. That of thyme is even greater, being 12.0 to 1.0. ' A little oil of verbena rubbed on the skin is a good protection against flies and midges. It is said that wild mint will keep away rats and mice.
