The bout was exciting but the issue was never in doubt for Loayza, though game, was outboxed from the start. CARNERA KNOCKS OUT OPPON= ENT IN 47 SECONDS CHICAGO, 31st January. Camera (2691 bs) knocked out Rioux (2101 bs) in the first round of a scheduled ten rounds fight which lasted 47 seconds during which Rioux was dropped to the floor five times. The final punch was a straight right cross of terrific power under which Rioux doubled up and collapsed in a heap. WHITE IN SERIOUS CONDITION SYDNEY, Ist February. Vio White, who was severely punished and outpointed at the Leichhardt Stadium oil Friday night, is in a serious condition at a private hospital. He collapsed just as the contest finished.
