SAUNDERS CUP CONTEST
AVALON AND EILEEN EACH SCORE A WIN

AUCKLAND, This Dav. Two races in the Sanders Cup were decided yesterday. The first was won by the Auckland boat Avalon in 2hrs. 43secs, with Eileen second, followed by Colleen and Clyde. The second race was won by the Otagc- boat Eileen, Avalon capsizing near the end of the race while in a winning position. The contest will be continued till one boat has won three races. __ The following is the record of the Sanders Cup contests:— Year Boat Province Where Held 1921 Heather Otago Auckland 1922 Desert.
