NEW BRITISH CRUISER
SHROPSHIRE BEING COMMISSIONED (Received 18th September, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, J7th September. The new cruiser Shropshire, which has taken two and a half years fo construct and has cost £2,000,000 arrived at Chatham, where she is being commissioned to join the first cruiser squadron on the Mediterranean station, consisting of the sister ships London. Sussex, and Devonshire.
