The tree struck the lorry, "Rilling the two women and . the infant. Parker got clear with seme injuries. Assistance was sought from railway construction camps, and the other child was rescued in a battered state and the bodies of the victims recovered.. Apparently the tree fell on the side of the cab and half tipped the lorry, which then righted itself. / » When rescuers arrived on the scene of the accident, Mrs Parker and the infant were ah'eady dead. Mrs Southoh was buried underneathj'the wreckage, and the rescuers were unable to extricate her for a considerable. ,time. Z" The lorry was practically undamaged.
