LUDENDORFF'S LIBEL
"SPY" PHOTOGRAPHER CASE GENERAL FINED £4O Herr Starr, a photographer, of Cuxhaveu, who brought an action for libel against General Ludeudorff, has won his case, and the general has been tined £4O. If he cannot produce the full sum the general will have to go to prison for one day for each 50s lie fails to pay. Geperal Ludendofff has consecrated his life to the task of warning mankind against the. wickedness of Freemasons, Roman Catholics and .Tews, who, he alleges, intrigue together to attain their diabolical ends. It is only fair to state that the general has suspicions about the Protestants, and has therefore resigned his membership of the Evangelical Church. PILLORIED AS A 'TRAITOR Great was Herr Starr's surprise when he found'-that he was pilloried as a traitor and a spy in General LudendortT's book, "The Destruction of Freemasonry by the Revelation of its Secrets." That book contained a photogi-ph of an alleged meeting of Freemasons at St. Quentin, in France, during the war, with a statement that tie 12 men in uniform were Germans acting as i.pius for the enemy and that the only civilian in the picture was a French Freemason who' also was acting as a spy. Now the/photographer could hardly believe his eyes when he saw that the alleged French Freemason [and spy) was he himself, and so he took the proceedings. The General arid his new wife, lioldijio- that Christianity has made the Gorman nice effeminate by teaching the peaceful virtues of gentleness, self-sacrifice and patience, advocate a return to the -ancient heathen faiths which are set forth in the legends of Woten, and other gods. They stump about Germany ventilating these ideas before bewildered audiences.
