TOWN BOARD MEETING At a meeting of the Tahunanui Town Board held in the Town Hall, thero were present: Mr F. W. Greenslade (chairman), Messrs C. 1. L. Bel], G. Cunningham, .T. L. 0. Day, F. Hobern, L Ingham, M. O’Sullivan, The Tahunanui fire brigade submitted a yearly report and balance sheet for the year. A resident drew the board's attention (O' an obstruction in a ditch, which stopped the free flow of water through her property. Mr A. Meiklo asked permission to erect a motor shed on the road lino in front of his property.

The Hon. IT. Atmore advised that the Minister of Public Works would give his immediate attention to the bituminous penetration of the main highway through Tahuna. Mr T. Neale sent a letter expressing his application of the letter sent with reference to his retirement from the Hospital Board. Messrs E. A. IT. Bislev and Co., advised that on approval of the subdivision being given, they undertake to have a ditch dug through lot 47 Edward street near its boundary from lot 46, and to reserve a drainage right for same, so that the water from the culvert to the east of lot 1 and lot 2 shall not flow through them hut down the ditch to he dug through W 47. Mrs Tosswill requested the board to reopen the question of taking over the new road. The following resolutions were passed :—That the town clerk view the obstruction in ditch, and chain off the distance between this ditch and the main ditch running to Golf Creek and report to the board : that the plans of subdivision lot 1 and 2, 45 and 46 he approved subject to the drain being dug and drainage rights reserved ; that the chairman and Mr Day interview Mrs Tosswill with reference to the new road and report to the .board; that a further grant of £lO he made to the Tahunanui fire brigade; that the application of Mr Meikle to erect a motor shed bo granted under the usual conditions.
