GOLF

NELSON CLUB The event set down for Saturday is a medal round. At the recent committee meeting it was decided to visit Blenheim for the Moore-Reid Cup competition during 3rd June week-end. The Marlborough Club will probably also arrange a flight tournament to be played during that week-end, in which the Nelson team and other members making the trip will be invited to participate. Marlborough will visit Nelson during the Labour Day week-end. The committee has appointed J. Dall, lately second greenkeeper of the Leven coif course, Scotland, as head greenkeeper to the Nelson Club. Mr Dall will take up his duties immediately.
