A DOG CASE
BEFORE WELLINGTON COURT^ (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. A somewhat unusual case was before the Magistrate when Mrs Leete was summoned for keeping a number of Pomeranians in premises alleged to be dangerous to health and offensive. There was a second charge that the dogs were a common nuisance on account of continuous barking. Defendant's counsel said he had a complete and sixteen witnesses who would say they were not annoyed by the dogs. His client, was a breeder of Pomeranians, and was particular about cleanliness. He hinted that the prosecution reallv had nothing to do with the dogs, but was the result of a private quarrel, and really meant to put the defendant to expense. Counsel for the plaintiff told a different story. He averred that one dog in particular barked incessantly and the others were nearly as bad. The health ol complainant's wife suffered from the noise. .' , . The Magistrate said he would inspect the place before hearing evidence.
