OLD ROMAN GALLEY
REVEALED IN LAKE NEMI (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian Press Association) ROME, 30th March. As a sequel to many months of pumping in Lake Nemi the poop of one of the Roman Emperor Caligula's galleys has been revealed, and the Italian flag hoisted on it. The limbers are well preserved after nearly two thousand years' submersion. It is hoped to recover the- whole galley, also a second lying deeper in the centre of the lake.
