SOCIETY HOSTESSES FIND ARTISTIC WORK STIMULATING
There have been several instances lately of a reaction by Society women from the interminable gaiety _*of the social round. It is so interminable, and so gav, that it has become monotonous and dull fur them, and they have forsaken its unsatisfying pleasures for enjoyment of a more solid sort. Thus we hear of ladies of the inner circles of Society turning their attention to painting, to sculpture, to travel in hitherto inaccessible places. And among those who have wearied of the more frivolous pursuits of Society are the increasing number who in their own homes turn to music as a- never-failing and always satisfactory enjoyment.
