Clarke was fined £lO for being intoxi. ited while in charge of a car. His driver's license was also cancelled for two years. The accused was a taxi-driver, resident at Kihikihi. With a companion he had taken two girls iov-riding. Evidence showed that, all hncl cavtaken of liquor. The Court described the accused as a menace on the road, and refused to let him have a license to drive any vehicle, despite the fact that he was no longer a taxidriver, and had work on a lorry.
